We have had a couple questions about the banquet, so I am posting them here:

What is the food for the banquet? Does it include a vegetarian option?:

Dinner Menu: Homemade pea soup, freshly baked bread, potatoes, maple smoked bacon, Canadian salted back bacon, farmer's sausage, “tourtière” (meat pie), meatballs, sweet ham, omelette soufflé, baked beans, homemade ketchup, pickles & beets, scrumptious crêpes, real maple syrup, sugar pie, coffee & tea. Vegetarian option: Tourtière made with soya. (Click "Read more" ou "Lire plus" for the full article)

What is the dress for the banquet?

Canadian traditional dress...but seriously, it is business casual to casual. Formal wear not required. We'll be in rural Quebec in July.

Here's the description of the banquet:

Here is a chance to discover Québecois tradition at its best! Join in a hearty French Canadian feast at La Sucrerie de la Montagne, a maple sugar farm situated atop Mont-Rigaud amidst 40 acres of spectacular wooded trails, just 55 minutes from Montréal.

We will visit this rustic site and see authentic log cabins, immense wood-burning ovens in which fresh bread is baked, and the sugar shack where real maple syrup is made.

We will be greeted fireside with a glass of "caribou", a uniquely Québecois combination of red wine, white wine, blueberry wine and whisky. It warms the heart with its sweet and hearty flavour, and brings a smile to even the most serious face!

Our “Soirée d’Autrefois” entertainment consists of musicians who play throughout dinner, organize contests and get the group dancing. It is sure to be a night to remember with food and fun in the maple tree forests of rural Quebec.

There are still some tickets left for the banquet. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Joseph
