• Digital Cartographic Files (DCF)

The 1991 Digital Cartographic Files are computer boundary files of selected standard geographic areas. Each Digital Cartographic File includes geostatistical area boundaries that have been modified to follow shorelines and coastlines. In addition some major lakes are included in the files.
The DCF files are self-expanding files (.EXE) and contain data in ARC/Info® Export and MapInfo® for Windows format.

The 1991 Geographic Attribute File (formerly called the Geography Tape File) is a computer file which contains one record for each 1991 enumeration area (EA).

• Place Name Master File (PNMF)

The 1991 Place Name Master File (PNMF) is a digital product which provides population and dwelling counts for census subdivisions (CSDs) and unincorporated places (UPs) linked to enumeration areas (EAs). In addition, the current version of the PNMF also provides over 21,000 other place names (PNs) linked to standard geographic areas through the Standard Geographical Classification (SGC).

• Postal Code Conversion File (PCCF)

The Postal Code Conversion File (PCCF) is a digital file which provides the correspondence between the six character code and Statistics Canada's standard geographical areas (e.g. Census divisions, Census subdivisions, Federal Electoral Districts) for which census data and other statistics are produced.
The file is self-expanding (.EXE) and contains data in ARC/Info® Export format (extension .PCF).

The postal code/federal riding file is a digital file which provides a link between the six character postal code and Canada's federal ridings.

• Skeletal Street Network File (SSNF)

Skeletal Street Network Files (SSNFs) are "thinned-out" street network files containing major roads and railways only (with street names but no address ranges).
SSNFs are self-expanding files (.EXE). They include five files (.DAT, .ID, .IND, .MAP, .TAB) in MapInfo® format in the Lambert Conformal Conic projection and in ARC/Info Export format.

• Street Network File (SNF)

The Street Network Files are being made available in two formats: the AMF format and the ARC/INFO® Export format. There are a few differences between the two versions: The ARC/INFO_ Export versions of the Street Network Files have been edgematched, whereas the AMF versions have not; however, all gaps of 20 meters or more in the AMF version have been identified and corrected.
